Minutes and correspondence of the first meeting of the residents of Port Phillip. 1836.

Minutes of the first meeting of the residents of Port Phillip, held 1 June 1836, to appoint James Simpson as arbitrator of the colony, and to petition Governor Bourke to appoint a resident magistrate at Port Phillip, with approximately 30 signatures of those attending. Also, two letters relating to the meeting; John Montague to Alexander Thomson 2 June 1836 and A. Thomson to J. Montague 5 July 1836.
